OnePlus announces the success of its flagship smartphone OnePlus 6 as the company sold over one million units in a short period.
The technology firm said it achieved the number of units sold in just 22 days in the market.
“Since before OnePlus launched, we’ve always taken care to listen closely to our users and deliver smartphones which combine design and power. The OnePlus 6 is our most balanced handset yet, combining style and speed for a unique experience. Our approach has been rewarded by returning users and new customers alike, and we’re grateful to the OnePlus community as the OnePlus 6 has become our fastest selling handset ever,” said Pete Lau, CEO of OnePlus.
Supporting this, the company said more than 15,000 people lined up across 26 pop-ups in its 11 markets worldwide, and the device’s launch event was sold-out with over a thousand tickets bought in 10 hours.
Lau also revealed that OnePlus has bolstered its channel partners with major operators located in Europe; Telia (Sweden), Three (Denmark), Belsimpel (Netherlands), and Bouygues (France).
“In addition, the OnePlus 6 is available on Amazon in Italy, Germany, France and Spain,” he added.
The OnePlus 6 boasts a 6.28-inch Full HD Optic AMOLED display in 1080 x 2280 resolution. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845, and has a 3,300 mAh battery with OnePlus Dash Charge. It is also equipped with dual real camera, composing of 16-megapixel and 20-megapixel shooters.
