I’ve been an avid fan of slim type digital cameras, there’s the Canon IXUS family and Sony’s Point & Shoot Line. Both of them are actually highly-profiled digicams, but basically what we want is something versatile, lightweight and a slim bodied type for an ultra-compact digital camera that we can carry anywhere, Olympus recently released their slimline type digicam FE-5500 which in turn battles the said two high profiled digicam lines. An eye catching slim-type styled digicam worth Php 18,000, Olympus FE-5500 maximizes its performance by producing an excellent razor sharp image/color result and providing 3x Optical Zoom plus a 5 MegaPixel quality resolution. It handles 4x digital zoom (but I do much prefer the Optical factor), Movie recording function with sound, gives a shutter speed of 2 ““ 1/2,000 sec, and fondles a slick colour TFT 2.0″ LCD Monitor for viewing with 115,000 pixel resolution which can be saved in the packaged 14MB internal memory (better go for an upgrade though). Also, FE-5500 is equipped with a distinctive twisting lens design, So without any further ado, The FE-5500 totally handles both the “œForm & Function” mobility. Truly an ease to all photo-enthusiasts and alternative for all slim-type digicam fans.
