Nvidia to launch Big Format Gaming Displays (BFGDs) at CES 2018
Today at CES, Nvidia will unveil what it dubbed Big Format Gaming Displays (BFGDs). At 4K HDR and 65 inches, PC manufacturers like Acer, Asus, and HP will be making the displays. Equipped with G-Sync, these giant gaming monitors will perfectly match equally premium gaming PCs. With support for the Google Assistant and a plethora of streaming apps, the Nvidia Shield will also come with the displays.
While the G-sync integration serves a bit surprising, it most certainly feels like a welcome addition. More astonishingly, the monitors also come with support for 120Hz refresh rates and a 4K resolution.
Pricing and Availability
Last year, Acer announced the yet-unreleased 27-inch 4K HDR monitor equippet with G-Sync at 144Hz. The company failed to provide pricing for the display, and, similarly, Nvidia also hasn’t hinted at the costs for the 65-inch gaming display. Surely, though – the monitors would inevitably cost a ton. Available later this week for the CES demos, the BFGDs seem like exciting new products for gamers and non-gamers alike.
