A record number of gaming laptops powered by NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPUs is set to launch globally later this month. The company made the announcement at the start of the annual CES trade show.
The GeForce RTX GPUs fuse the performance of next-generation shaders with real-time ray tracing and AI. These graphics offer cinematic-quality rendering to games.
More than 40 new laptop models in over 100 configurations will carry NVIDIA’s revolutionary Turing GPU architecture, including the fastest, thinnest, and lightest systems the company has created. These Turing-based laptops will be available across the GeForce RTX family–from RTX 2080 through RTX 2060 GPUs. Some of the brands to offer these Ge-Force RTX-enabled computers are Acer, Alienware, ASUS, Dell, Gigabyte, HP, Lenovo Legion, MSI, Razer, and Samsung.
Seventeen of the models also feature Max-Q design, which integrates GeForce gaming and sleeks designs. These gaming devices sport 20mm thickness, narrow bezels, 144Hz display, and long battery life. Meanwhile, laptops equipped with the latest GeForce RTX GPUs comes with various functional features such as the WhisperMode, which enables laptops to run quietly during gameplay.
GeForce RTX laptops cater to content creators as well. Hardware-accelerated ray tracing reduces rendering time from minutes to seconds. In addition, NVIDIA RTX video processing capabilities enable video editors to work up to 6K RAW video in real time. These new NVIDIA-powered devices also enables broadcasters create high-quality streams to Twitch on the go.
The new laptop models with NVIDIA GeForce RTX GPUs will be available starting January 29 from the world’s top OEMs. Pricing, configurations, and availability for the laptops will vary among regions and partners.
For a limited time, gamers will receive both Battlefield V and Anthem with a qualifying purchase of a GeForce RTX 2080 laptop, or receive either one of the two titles with a qualifying purchase of a GeForce RTX 2070 or RTX 2060 laptop. This bundle promotion is available in most regions around the world.
