True to the previous rumors about the E71’s downgraded version, the Nokia E63 has been confirmed by the Finnish company today.
The 13mm slim smartphone has a QWERTY keypad but is entirely made up of plastic unlike the earlier metallic Nokia E71.
At $250 a pop (~Php12,000), Nokia dropped the GPS and HSDPA in favor of a basic 3G (384 kbps) and WiFi 802.11 b/g. The 3.2MP autofucos camera of the E71 is now a regular 2MP on the Nokia E63.
Buyers will still get FM tuner, Bluetooth and office applications as well as a long battery life of 1500mAh.
