Nokia just announced the availability of their most affordable capacitive touchscreen phone yet, the Nokia Asha 309. The Asha is Nokia’s series of affordable yet feature-packed phones in all shapes and sizes ranging from basic candy phones, QWERTY, semi-touch and full-touch screen phones.
The Nokia Asha 309 is a 2G-enabled device featuring a 3.0” WQVGA (240 x 400) capacitive touchscreen display. It’s your basic touchscreen phone, having S40’s multiple home screens, a 2-megapixel camera, and the speedy Nokia Xpress browser which can now stream video from sites like YouTube. Internal memory is limited but this phone offers up to 32GB microSD card support. You’ll also get your WLAN, Bluetooth 3.0, and stereo FM radio.
To spice things up for the Asha 309, Nokia and EA is offering 40 free to download games featuring titles like Tetris, Bejeweled, Need for Speed: The Run and EA SPORTS FIFA 2012. It also has a standalone Facebook and Twitter client to keep the social media users happy.
The Nokia Asha 309 has a suggested retail price of PhP4,790 and is available in Nokia Stores nationwide.
