HMD Global Oy sent out invites for a phone launch event on April 4, but went no further at disclosing any information on the device until April 1st. Vice President Ajey Mehtas apparently posted a photo teasing what many believe as the Nokia 7 Plus on Twitter.
Pictured in the teaser, a ZEISS dual-camera setup sits flanked with an LED flash and a fingerprint scanner. The device sports a copper/black color variant, which many associate with the Nokia 7 Plus. The phone debuted alongside the Nokia 6 (2018) and Nokia 8 Sirocco edition at MWC 2018. Many presumed the Nokia 6 (2018) would launch in India soon, but this teaser put those rumors to rest. The device would likely debut in the country in late 2018.
The 7 Plus rocks a dual camera setup with a 12MP f/1.75 primary and a 13MP f/2.6 secondary sensor. Its front-facing camera, on the other hand, shoots at up to 16MP. Equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, the device will run on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. It also sports 4Gb RAM, 64Gb storage, and a microSD card slot.
