The Nokia 3310 has been good for many things. During its debut it was not just a phone that can call and text it also had fun games and a very durable build. So durable in fact that so many memes have been generated with the theme of just how durable the 3310 is. Already beloved for its games like Snake 2 and Space Impact, the 3310 was cemented as a beloved device with it always being seen on the internet. Now, 17 years after it was introduced the iconic phone is making a comeback.
Nokia, has gone through some tough times over the years. But, with the brand being handled by a private equity company HMD Global, it is primed for resurgence. The new version of the 3310 has a lot of its old appeal down. It is simple, it has the iconic snake game, and it has a battery that can last 30 days on standby. The battery also gets up to 22 hours of talk time.
Of course some new functions are built in to the device to help in the modern era. For starters it has a web browser, but it is a reminiscent of the old WAP browsers in older phones. The screen at 2.4 inches is now also colored. Lastly the new 3310 sports a 2MP camera. The reimagined phone comes in a red, white, blue, and yellow variants and is set to hit markets soon. The price of a 3310 will start at $59 or roughly Php 3,000 pesos.
