The Nintendo Switch is a revolutionary gaming device that combines a handheld and a console. An interesting concept, to say the least, it is also the company’s fastest seller. Still, there have been criticisms about it. One of which is the need for a separate smartphone app for online communication. Despite that, the device has generally been well received. Not only that, but the Nintendo Switch online app now has a release date.
Nintendo Switch Online App Launches on July 21
In an article on businesswire.com that detailed the game Splatoon 2, there was mention of the app. With the game featuring its own communication platform SplatNet 2, users will be able to access it when the online app launches. According to theverge.com the soon to be launched app will have a SplatNet 2 feature in it.
The launch date of Splatoon 2 and the Switch Online app is on July 21. It is of note that this is the first version of the app. The full paid version is set to be in service by next year.
