The Asia Pacific regional headquarters of NEC Corporation (Japan), announced earlier this month that it will be integrated with another NEC branch office in the Philippines – NEC Corporation Manila Branch.
The NEC Corporation Manila Branch which specializes in providing carrier network solutions and services, will become a business unit of NEC Philippines. Mr Kiyofumi Kusaka, the current President at NEC Philippines, will retain in his position.
This realignment of NEC’s operations in the Philippines is in line with the “œOne NEC” concept listed in the Mid-Term Growth Plan set by NEC Corporation, which seeks to realign and integrate its regional subsidiaries so as to establish a stronger presence in their respective regions, and in compliance with corporate governance policies. Asia Pacific will cover nine countries including Australia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
“œNEC aspires to stay ahead of competition, to grow beyond our boundaries and towards our Group Vision 2017. I believe our customers in the Philippines and in this Asia Pacific region will be able to appreciate and benefit from our combined expertise, knowledge and leading technology that we bring across as a One NEC company.”, remarked Mr Kiyofumi Kusaka, President, NEC Philippines.
