The NBA 2K19 Asia Tournament Finals takes place in the Philippines this March 2, 2019. Held at the TriNoma Activity Center, the culminating leg of the tournament sees the top eight teams battle it out to be the champion, with the Philippines aiming for a four-peat performance.
Presented by 2K and Sony Interactive Entertainment, this year’s tournament is the very first time they used the NBA 2K19’s MyTEAM Mode. The new mode allows you to build your own dream team with NBA legends and players past and present. It also gives players the ability to customize their team’s jerseys and courts. Players can build their MyTEAM from a combination of thirteen Player Cards from their MyTEAM Collection, subject to some card tier limitations.
The NBA 2K19 Asia Tournament Finals features eight top My TEAM players from Hong Kong, Philippines, South Korea and Taiwan. Philippe Alcaraz Herrero IV and Rial Polog Jr. will represent the Philippines in the tournament. Both have previously won the NBA 2K Asia Tournament in the past. Herrero was the NBA 2K18 Asia Tournament Champion and Polog was the champion in NBA 2K16.
The tournament will use PlayStation4 exclusively and features a prize pool of $10,000. Globe will be the official internet service provider for the event. Meanwhile, Gatorade is the official beverage partner for the event. Tune in to the semifinals and grand finals, starting at 6PM PHT at https://www.twitch.tv/nba2k.
There will also be an on-site 256 player “Play Now” tournament for NBA 2K19 with a prize pool of P50,000 ($950). Several 2K sports games will also be available for visitors to try for free at the venue.
NBA 2K19 is now available on PS4 system, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Windows PC platforms.
