Free up your weekend this week and warm your skills up at your nearest LAN shop to get ready for MSI’s local version of its global gaming event, Beat It! This year’s event is set for August 30, 31 and September 1 at the SM City North EDSA Cyberzone located at the Annex.
A number of online game titles with more than 300 competitive players are set to storm the battleground as they fight for their share of the bounty with more than Php500,000 in cash prizes, hardwares, gaming peripherals by MSI.
Counter Strike: Global Offensive
MSI, in cooperation with Fnatic, is hosting a global event that aims to look for the country’s representative in Shanghai, China for the Southeast Asian qualifier for a chance to compete in the Global Grand Finals and fight for the USD 10,000 grand prize.
Mercenary Online
One team will walk away with Php50,000 courtesy of Massive Gaming with their explosive title in the Third-Person shooter arena.
Dragon Nest
From Cherry Credits, players will also have a chance to be the first ever King of the Arena. The last man/woman standing will bring the Php30,000 prize for him/herself.
Official tournament titles will also include DOTA 2, Avatar Star and Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm.
Cosplay
Cosplayers of any game are welcome, but they will be giving away prizes only to the Best Dragon Nest or Avatar Star cosplayer and will take home Php10,000.

MSI will also be introducing the upcoming MSI GS70 Stealth, the world’s thinnest and lightest 17″ gaming notebook, weighing in at a mere 6lbs. And measures less than an inch (0.86″). Eyefinity on a laptop
In collaboration with Simulation Racing Pilipinas and Techsim, the event will also have the “œBeat Me If You Can: Time Attack Challenge”. It features a non-conventional racing game with real driving physics and real racing rules. The sim racing experience will be powered by an MSI GX60, the only gaming notebook which supports and can handle the Eyefinity setup.
And if you’re looking to upgrade your gaming rig, here’s a treat from MSI. MSI will be bundling the SteelSeries Kinzu V2 gaming mouse with MSI z87 gaming series motherboards and video cards. Hurry, it’s only available in authorized MSI resellers until September 15, 2013.
Rig competition
And for the PC Enthusiasts, MSI will be taking the rig competition to another level. MSI will host a LAN party for qualified participants. Rig owners are not only encouraged to make their setups mouthwatering good, but also can play the preferred game against each other for non-stop LAN partying.
