The Moto Z2 Play Releases Locally on July 21, Price Announced

Motorola adds the Moto Z2 Play to the Moto Z2 family, which transforms into almost anything you need via Moto Mods. This thinner and lighter variant of the Z2 aims to deliver features that you exactly need.

Moto Mods bring features like the ability to project a screen of up to 70 inches, or an optical zoom of 10x. As for the Z2 Play itself, it sports an all-metal unibody design, with a 5.5-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display. In terms of other specs, we’re talking about a 2.2 GHz octacore processor, a 24-hour battery life, and fast charging technology.

Meanwhile, for the cameras, potential buyers should consider the Moto Z2 Play’s dual autofocus and laser autofocus technology. With the laser type, the range expands to 5 meters. On the other hand, the 5-megapixel front camera sports a dual color corrected flash. This results in good selfies regardless of the time of day. In addition, your selfies can turn into groufies with the wide-angle lens.

The Moto Z2 Play offers certain Moto Experiences as well. For example, the Night Display feature will adjust the screen to warm tones at nighttime. Of course, this results in better sleep thanks to avoiding disruption via blue light. There’s also the Moto VOice which provides critical info like the weather, the date, and calendar updates. Finally, the redesigned fingerprint reader allows for one-button activation and navigation. To put it in practical terms, swipe left to go back, right to access your favorite apps, and a long press for the unlock.

Retail-wise, the Moto Z2 Play will become available in three exclusive Motorola outlets. Specifically, you will be able to find them in the CyberZones found in SM MOA, SM Megamall, and SM North EDSA. It will get a PHP 24,999 SRP, and releases on July 21.
