Motorola‘s Moto G4 Play came to the forefront at the same time as the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus, but still has to catch up in terms of release date. Now, the G4 Play gets to catch up, though not on a global scale. For now, the device gets a launch date of September 15 in the United States.
Pre-orders for the G4 Play are now live at Motorola’s official website and at Amazon, offering two different options for potential buyers. The most notable is the unlocked Moto G4 Play, which will work for all telecomm companies in the US.
Motorola and Amazon both offer the unlocked Moto G4 Play for USD 149.99 (PHP 6,968.61), with a discount for Prime subscribers. Another variant is also available from Amazon for USD 99.99 (PHP 4,645.59), but is different from the unlocked one.
In terms of specs, the G4 Play boasts a quad-core processor, a 2,800 mAh battery, 16GB storage and 2GB RAM. For the photography fans, there’s an 8-megapixel camera on the back and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Captured images then project pictures to a 5-inch 720p HD display. It will run Android 6.0.1.
No word as of yet as to the local release of the Moto G4 Play. However, we can expect something just as exciting once this phone hits the Philippines.
