Update: SONY Launches Xperia Z2, Xperia Z2 Tablet and Xperia Z1 Compact
Sony Mobile recently announced a smaller version of its flagship smartphone, the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact. The Xperia Z1 Compact has the same sleek and flawless OmniBalance design as its big brother and also maintained the same IP55/IP58 rating making it both waterproof and dust-resistant as well. The Xperia Z1 Compact packs a 2.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor and runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS. It has a 4.3 inch, 1280×720 pixel Triluminos HD Display for mobile with X-Reality for mobile picture engine for a clearer and sharper display quality. The Sony Xperia Z1 Compact has a 9.5mm slim body and weighs just 137 grams. A 20.7 megapixel main camera with Sony Exmor RS for mobile image sensor is coupled with a 2MP 1080p front-facing camera. Sony earlier did not disclose any details on the pricing of the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact but the Sony Mobile Stores in Europe has just started to accept pre-orders on the Z1 Compact. In the UK, the Sony Z1 Compact is priced at £449 (comes with Free SmartWatch 2). That’s around Php 33K but expect the price to be lower than that when it hits the local market.
