Manulife launches GradMaker App

For many FIlipino families, graduating from college is the ultimate goal for children still in school. Fortunately, Manulife recently launched the Manulife GradMaker, the first mobile app in the industry designed to help parents begin saving for their children’s college education.

GradMaker lets users invest, just with a few easy taps on their smartphones. From the get-go, parents may begin using the app for only PHP 10,000 with no lock-in period. At this cost, customers get the flexibility to decide when they will invest. Plus, they also get to learn about possible education costs at their preferred local university once their child enters college age. Afterwards, the app calculates how long and how much they need to save in order to meet those costs. Once they feel ready to invest, they can purchase GradMaker within the app.

‘Being relevant comes from a deep understanding of our customers and allowing them to decide when and on which platform to engage with us,’
Ryan Charland, President and CEO, Manulife Philippines

GradMaker invests in professionally-managed funds comprised of stocks and bonds. This helps customers achieve long-term growth, and life insurance coverage of at least 125 percent of the customer’s single premium. But it doesn’t stop with just your own children! GradMaker also allows users to help children in need. For every investment made through GradMaker, Manulife will donate 1 percent of it to Cartwheel foundation. Carwheel is a nonprofit organization that nurtures Filipino indigenous heritage.

Download GradMaker now from the Google Play Store or the App Store, compatible with select Android and iOS devices. For more information on this new product, visit the GradMaker website.
