Are you in the market for a new pair of buds for your music player? Thinking of replacing that earphone that came with your iPod with a new one but don’t want to buy those same old brands that everybody’s used to seeing? Then you might want to look at JAYS.
JAYS is a Swedish headphone maker that ranks up there in terms of quality IEMs (in-ear-monitors or canal phones) with brands like Beats, Etymotic, Ultimate Ears, V-moda, etc. They are makers of what you call enthusiast’s earphones at reasonable prices. I’ve seen reviews on the web from popular sites such as CNET, MacWorld, PC World and PC Advisor to name a few giving JAYS earphones (especially the a-JAYS) praises especially for the sound quality they produce.
These JAYS are still pretty uncommon in the US and it is just recently that they made their way in Philippine shores.
The main lines that are currently available here are q-JAYS (smallest dual-drivers), v-JAYS (featherlight powerful headphones), t-JAYS (ultimate fit dynamics) and a-JAYS (balanced sound, flat tangle-free cables). Price ranges from Php1,799 for the a-JAYS up to top-bin price of Php12,499 for the q-JAYS.
If you’re interested in checking out the different JAYS headphone/earphones in, you can find them in AstroVision and AstroPlus located at SM Mall of Asia, VMall and Shangri-La.
