Not wanting to be left behind the Android game, LG launched two new phones to the market. The LG Optimus L7 belongs to their L-Series which focuses on design quality while the Optimus 3D Max is their second-generation 3D smartphone.
LG Optimus L7
The LG Optimus L7 can be viewed as the vanilla LG Prada 3.0. We were hoping for a Prada 3.0 phone (which impressed us) from LG without the expensive branding and this was their answer.
I would say that this can replace the LG Optimus Black in their lineup for this year. You’ll get a bigger (still bright) screen, a 1GHz single-core processor and the latest Android OS in one sleek body. The Optimus L7 is now available in all LG Concept Stores and authorized dealers for Php15,990.
LG Optimus L7 Specs:
- Single-core 1GHz Qualcomm MSM7227A Snapdragon
- Adreno 200 GPU
- 4.3 inches IPS LCD, 480 x 800 resolution
- Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich
- 4 GB storage, 512 MB RAM, microSD up to 32GB
- HSDPA, 21 Mbps; HSUPA, 5.76 Mbps
- 5-megapixel rear-camera, autofocus, LED flash
- VGA @ 30fps video recording
- VGA front camera
- Bluetooth 3.0
- 1700mAh Li-Ion Battery
- SRP: Php15,990
LG Optimus 3D Max
Still heavily investing on portable glasses-free 3D devices, the LG Optimus 3D Max is an upgrade of their last year’s Optimus 3D, now boasting an enhanced chipset and more 3D entertainment features in a slimmer and lighter body.
The new Optimus 3D Max now has the ability to convert 2D content to 3D. You can view your 2D photos, videos, even games and apps into 3D without the aid of 3D glasses. Be careful playing Temple Run in 3D or you might just stumble.
You can also shoot your own 3D content (stills and video) and use the 3D video editor on the phone in real time. This phone also allows you to customize your own icons through an Icon Customizer feature for those not satisfied with the standard look.
This new 3D phone from LG is now 2mm slimmer and 20g lighter measuring 9.6mm thin and 148g.
It still has a dual 5-megapixel camera at the rear to capture photos and videos in 3D. It does, however, still run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Probably 3D features don’t work well with Ice Cream Sandwich yet but an upgrade is already in the works.
If you already have a 3D TV, 3D laptop or monitor, why not get a 3D smartphone as well? The LG Optimus 3D Max is now available for Php26,990.
LG Optimus 3D Max P720 Specs:
- Dual-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A9, TI OMAP 4430
- PowerVR SGX540 GPU
- 4.3 inches 3D LCD touchscreen, 480 x 800 resolution
- Android 2.3 Gingerbread
- 8 GB storage, 1 GB RAM, microSD up to 32GB
- HSDPA, 21 Mbps; HSUPA, 5.76 Mbps
- 2x 5-megapixel rear-camera
- Video recording: 1080p@30fps (2D), 720p@30fps (3D), video stabilization
- VGA front camera
- Bluetooth, NFC, MHL
- 1520mAh Li-Ion Battery
- SRP: Php26,990

yung L7 hindi ata dual-core? tama ba?
oh yeah you’re right. techcrunch got it wrong as well. http://smartphones.techcrunch.com/l/256/LG-Optimus-L7 @_@
how much is this phone in the phil. as of sept 2012?
LG Optimus 3D Max is biggest weakness is Gingerbread…
well not really… if they force ICS now it might take performance hit. better to have a stable phone with a previous but trusty OS. besides, how many other 3D phones are out there?
The number of gingerbread phones that are still coming out is TOO DAMN HIGH!!
L7? mag xperia arc nlng ako kahit single core 8mp at 205 p GPU!
Can we fully enjoy 3D feature with a single core processor?
optimus 3d max is dual-core. the l7 is the single core one
how is the battery life on L7?
haven’t tried it yet but according to one reviewer, it’s not as good as what a 1700mah battery can give.
eto na ba mapagmamalaki ni LG? sina sony ok mga xperia nila. swabe rin yung htc one, si samsung winner yung s3 nila, tapos si LG eto lang?? kawawa naman sila.
