Guns, Girls, Gamers. The perfect combination for the launch of IP e-Games newest Online FPS in the country. POINT BLANK is the latest offering from online game publisher IP e-Game Ventures Inc. and X-Play Online Games Inc., a subsidiary of IP e-Games. Point Blank is a fast-paced, action-packed FPS game much like Counter-Strike, one of the hottest FPS of the century.
I was invited to the Grand Launch of Point Blank last Saturday held at the Cyberzone in SM North Edsa Annex. I arrived at 11 AM and the crowd was already huge. There were long lines because of the registration for the tournament, and only the first 16 teams to register on site will get a slot.
There were PCs setup for guests to try and play the game. The program started at about 1pm and we were entertained with an opening act from UEDO. The program was hosted by Ms. Dianne Sison alongside e-Games model, Jinri Park.
After a dance presentation by UEDO, Mr. Juan Miguel Bauza, the VP for Marketing of IP e-Game Ventures Inc., gave his opening remarks and gave away shirts for players who can answer his questions.
Mr. Ronald Allan M. Aquino, Chief Operating Officer of X-Play Online Games Inc., introduced future updates they will be bringing into the game. I’m very eager to be able to experience the “Dino mode”, yes you read that right, DINO MODE. It’s been awhile since games like Dino Crisis surfaced, so this might bring a whole new online experience to FPS gamers today.
There were other that performed, the first band consisted of gamers and there was also a surprise band where everyone crowded the stage as soon as they was setting up. Silent Sanctuary went on to perform songs from their old and new album.
All in all it was a very successful lanch of Point Blank for e-Games where all the gamers and fans had a good time.
