Well that was fast. Apple officially made the iOS 6 available yesterday and just a few hours later, the reliable iPhone Dev team released the jailbreak for it via Redsn0w. It seems that the exploit they used for the iOS 5 jailbreak was not yet patched hence the easy release this time around.
There’s a catch though, just like early jailbreak releases, this one is still a tethered version. This means that if you have to reboot your phone or ran out of battery, you need to plug it to your PC and use Redsn0w to reboot it to maintain the jailbreak status. I advise against this jailbreak though unless you’re confident in accessing the root to manually install Cydia.

Another important note, this jailbreak will only work for the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPod touch 4th-gen running on iOS 6. For other devices, it’s best to wait a little bit more.
