To fix the Indian language (Tegulu) character crash bug, Apple just released iOS 11.2.6. Apparently, this glitch renders apps like Messenger, Messages, and WhatsApp busted. Apart from making Messages inaccessible on iOS, macOS and Apple Watch, the bug also affects Safari. Apparently, anyone who sends the character to an iPhone virtually locks out all access to these messaging apps. Apple has since released updates on these platforms to address the issue.
iOS 11.2.6 out now, 11.3 launch impending
Apple released the much earlier iOS 11.2.5 update to address the link freeze bug last January. The company promised an update prior to the official iOS 11.3 rollout, and the new 11.2.6 makes them true to their word.
