Apple releases iOS 11.2.5 Beta to Developers
Apple just released the new iOS 11.2.5 beta update to roll out possible software fixes soon. Of course, only iPhone and iPad users enrolled in the beta testing program can download and install Apple’s latest update.
Since the last major update, Apple has rolled out a bevy of other bug fixes and security patches.
While any user may sign up for Apple’s iOS beta testing program, developers get first dibs at beta releases. In addition, Apple advises against running beta software on primary devices until the update releases formally. This way, their primary devices remain safe in case of instability and other possible issues and threats.
As the current iOS version is 11.2.1, the number skip may indicate more updates in between the latest version and the beta software. Especially since the iPhone X sports an OLED instead of an LCD display, many still await the implementation of a true Dark Mode for the operating system. Whether or not Apple would heed people’s requests, however, remains to be seen. For now, the Invert Colors Accessibility setting will have to suffice.
