There’s no better time to find and learn new innovations than this year’s Impact Hackathon 2020.
The world may be on a standstill due to the pandemic, but the innovations and tech solutions to overcome it are ready to push through. This year’s Impact Hackathon set to run from August 17 to 21, 2020 is aimed towards rebooting the economy through digital innovations in five verticals, namely—Climate Change, Education, Food and Agriculture, Health and Wellness, and Smart Cities.
The week-long online event will have the partners of each vertical pose problem statements for participants to hack and think of the best viable tech solutions and innovations. The winners will get to take home over 100, 000 USD worth of prizes, not to mention exclusive access to Impact Hub Manila’s (IHM) incubation program and global network of experts and entrepreneurs in varying social fields.
IHM will also conduct a series of Learning Sessions to better equip participants with relevant information they need to come up with winning innovations. The event will culminate in a festival titled “2050 Fest” where experts and industry leaders gather for panel discussions and the announcement of winners.
Last year’s Impact Hackathon saw over 80 partners and 300 mentors and jurors for the 1,700 joiners yielding over 186 projects. Expect these partners to be back supporting this year’s event along with new collaborators including the Office of Senator Francis Pangilinan, iProcure, Unifinity, Salesforce, and KMC among others.
