Opera took me away from the other browsers when Leo Laporte featured it on TV a few years ago. Recently, I tried to solely depend on it, abandoning Firefox, because the worst part about the latter browser is that it hogs up my system resources. Just try running it with Adobe Photoshop CS2 with 256MB of RAM on a 1.8GB Athlon XP box. Yes, it crawls. It was a failed experiment though: Firefox still won over me.
I’ve always downloaded every new version of Opera that comes out, though. I also stopped cracking it do get rid of the ads once they gave the option to show Google’s text-ads. Now, hopefully, I’ll be getting more browser real estate.
UPDATE: Here’s a page to instantly get the registration codes.
