Huawei P10 Plus Revealed – A Solid Device for 2017

The Huawei P9 proved to be a great phone for 2016, and the Huawei P10 Plus looks to deliver even more this 2017.

The 5.5-inch P10 Plus, with WQHD resolution, runs on a Kirin 960 processor, Octa-core 4* Cortex A73 2.4 GHz + 4*Cortex A53 1.8 GHz. In turn, this powers an EMUI 5.1 software built atop Android 7.0. For this premium model, users have access to 6GB of RAM plus 128GB of expandable storage, as well as 3,750mAh for the battery. The prospect of having this kind of machine’s power, honestly, feels enticing.

Most importantly, the Leica-branded dual-camera system makes a return, with the P10 Plus rocking a higher class of lenses. The P10 Plus gets a wider f/1.8 aperture than the P10’s f/2.2 and a 20-megapixel monochrome sensor with a 12-megapixel one for colors. To top all of that, Huawei now also gets a Portrait Mode that’s comparable to a similar feature in the iPhone 7 Plus.

On the software end of things, Huawei brings custom themes for both the P10 and P10 Plus. But much more interesting would be the ‘machine learning implementation’ that Huawei introduced. Apparently, it’s supposed to accelerate apps based on how the machine learns.
