Instead of announcing a “Lite” version of its new smartphone like they did on previous iterations, Huawei is taking on a different approach this time around by introducing the Huawei P9 Plus.
As it name implies, the P9 Plus is the bigger and more bad-ass sibling of the Huawei P9 that was launched alongside it.
For the most part, the Huawei P9 Plus has a lot in common with its smaller brother. These include the well-designed aluminum body, top-of-the-line Kirin 955 octa-core processor, and the groundbreaking Leica-certified dual-camera setup at the back which comprises of an RGB shooter and a secondary monochrome camera.
What separates the two models is the addition of IR blaster on the Huawei P9 Plus, as well as the bigger 5.5-inch AMOLED display panel that has Press Touch technology, and a beefier battery pack that is rated at 3,400mAh.
