HP looks to leave a mark on the laptop market through innovative design and engineering. To further this goal, they’ve recently unveiled the latest models in a line of premium computing machines in an event called A Tasteful Edge held at Anima in Green Sun. At the forefront was the HP Spectre, HP’s flagship model and one of the thinnest laptops to hit the market.
The Spectre, At A Glance
The HP Spectre represents the two overall goals of the HP brand: premium engineering and tasteful design. But don’t be fooled by the artistry involved in designing this machine. There’s still a ton of science put into creating this one of a kind invention. HP Philippines touts the Spectre as a design breakthrough. This is because it’s created as both an everyday tool and an eye-catching extension of the end-user.
On a surface level, the Spectre contains a hidden piston hinge mechanism and thin, lightweight dynamics. It has a gray aluminum top cover with a copper metal accent, obviously showing off the art that went into its design. When opening the laptop, the user will immediately notice the 13.3-inch HD gorilla glass display. Combined with the Bang and Olufsen speakers, consumers can get the best viewing and listening experience with the Spectre.
In terms of performance, Spectre’s 8-hour battery life and full Intel Core power supply guarantees its users seamless and almost endless connectivity. Meanwhile, its Windows 10 OS boasts the latest in Microsoft-made software, perfect for personal use. Finally, the USB_C port not only secures data exchange, but it also provides optimized charging for various plugged-in devices.
HP Philippines, Inc. managing director Albert Mateo, Jr. (3rd from right) and furniture-making genius Kenneth Cobonpue (3rd from left) are joined by (L-R) Microsoft Philippines, Joel Guzman and HP Philippines Executives, Kris Seville, Paul Alcantara, and Franco Flameno during the unveiling of HP Spectre.
Also showcased in the event were HP’s Elite x2 1012 and Envy laptops, two more high-performance mobile devices that promise industry-level output. Indeed, HP’s ingenuity has proven itself once again in reinventing and rethinking the laptop, in a world full of tech.
The HP Spectre is priced at Php 79,990 for the Core i5-6200U/128GB and Php 89,990 for the Core i7-6500U/ 256GB.
