Huawei unveils new mid-range smartphone, the Honor 9 Lite
Huawei has revealed yet another mid-range smartphone, the Honor 9 Lite, at an event in China. Following its TENAA certification, the Huawei has finally made the device official. Below are some details on specs, pricing, and availability.
Packed with features
Phone Arena reports that the 9 Lite’s edge-to-edge display is what sets it apart from other mid-range Android smartphone competitors. With an 18:9 aspect ratio, the 9 Lite comes with a 5.65-inch full HD+ resolution display.
Equipped with either 3 of 4Gb of RAM the 9 Lite touts Huawei’s own Kirin 659 processor. Expandable for up to 256Gb via a microSD card slot, the smartphone also comes with either 32Gb or 64Gb of storage.
Dual Dual Cameras
The Honor 9 Lite comes with not just one, but two dual-camera setups, one up front and the other in the rear. Its camera systems come with a primary 13-megapixel shooter, as well as a secondary 2-megapixel sensor. This will allow users to shoot portrait mode with the famed bokeh effect through either of the front or rear cameras.
Battery and Software
While many might expect a much larger capacity from the device, the Honor 9 Lite only comes with a 3,000mAh battery. Huawei, however, integrates its Super Charge technology for faster charging. Built on Android 8.0 Oreo, the latest Emotion UI software iteration also runs on Huawei’s latest mid-ranger.
Honor 9 Lite Pricing and Availability
Users in China can avail of the Honor 9 Lite starting December 26 this year. The 3Gb/32Gb variant comes in at just $180 (Php 9,023), while the 4Gb/64Gb variant will sell for $275 (Php 13,778.33).
