HMD Global plans to push the Android Oreo update to the Nokia 6, after the swift updates for the Nokia 8 and Nokia 5 this past year.
Juho Sarvikas, Chief Product Officer of HMD Global, announced plans via Twitter on December 19. Much like other Nokia devices, the Nokia 6 will go through the Nokia Mobile Beta Labs program before official implementation of Oreo. Additionally, users right now may enroll in the program and register their device on Nokia’s website. Furthermore, people who apply will receive an OTA update for Oreo within the next few minutes.
The official Nokia build for the Oreo OS will come out soon, though. Thus, waiting seems like a viable option as well. But if you have Nokia, and can’t wait, you can test it out via the Nokia website. Of course, do note that this build contains a few bugs here and there.
