Samsung Galaxy users, have you updated your phone to Gingerbread yet? The Android 2.3.4 update has been available for the past couple of weeks already but we just got our Samsung Galaxy Ace updated today.
If you remember, it was way back in May when Samsung announced the Gingerbread update for their phones. Aside from the Galaxy Ace, this update also affects the Samsung Galaxy Fit, Samsung Galaxy Mini and the Galaxy Gio and Tab. That’s a long wait but at least it’s here. You may need to update your Samsung Kies before doing this upgrade.
The upgrade from Froyo to Gingerbread 2.3 gives the following:
- Faster Performance ““ Multimedia content now has a lower CPU consumption rate, while support for more powerful 3D Graphics enables an enhanced mobile gaming experience.
- Upgraded Usability ““ The user interface has been improved, enabling faster access and control and a more intuitive user experience. Users will also benefit from improved copy-and-paste functionality.
We haven’t found any noticeable improvements yet on the Galaxy Ace but I hope it will fix the sudden crashing of the phone where you need to do a battery pull to turn it back on.
Update away guys and let us know if you notice anything with new with it.
