Harry Potter: Wizards Unite will begin rolling out globally on June 21, Friday. The Harry Potter: Wizards Unite is the latest augmented reality (AR) game from Pokémon Go developer Niantic. The mobile AR game will first become available to users in the U.S. and U.K. area, but will soon launch to other regions worldwide, according to Niantic.
Similar to Pokémon Go, this location-based AR game will have you walking around your area. In the game, you take the role of a member of the Statute of Secrecy Task Force. The goal is simple yet utterly exciting: capture rogue magical creatures and misbehaving objects that escaped the wizarding world after the “Calamity”.
Potterheads in Australia and New Zealand were actually the first ones to experience the game; they got the opportunity to take the beta version of Harry Potter: Wizards Unite for a spin last May.
