Typhoon Maring is about to leave the country but it brought about problems to a lot of Filipinos in Luzon, this includes a lot of GrabTaxi drivers.
GrabTaxi is the first e-hailing company in the Philippines. It allows smartphone users to get a taxi through an app and is far more efficient than the traditional CB radio way of getting a cab. I wrote about how GrabTaxi works in detail in a previous post.
In order to give back to the hardworking taxi drivers contributing to the success of the company, GrabTaxi is having a relief operation just for them. For every booking made from August 21 to August 31, GrabTaxi will give P10 to the drivers to help them and their families get back on their feet. This is on top of the share they get from the P70 booking fee.
So during these rainy days, why not get a taxi via GrabTaxi? You’ll get your own taxi without waiting in any queues or under the rain or fear of the driver rejecting your trip, and you’ll help their honest taxi drivers at the same time. It’s a win-win situation.
