Globe Telecom kicked off recently its #Gen3NextACT (Art + Community + Technology) event series coinciding with the major makeover of two of its biggest Generation 2 stores located at SM North Edsa in Quezon City, and at Limketkai Mall in Cagayan de Oro.
Aimed at creating a whole new retail customer experience, the ongoing renovations are a refresh of Globe’s innovation in store designs when it first remodeled its stores in 2010. Both stores will reopen in December 2014.
Globe’s Generation 3 stores have been featuring themed surprises such as arts, community, and technology. The Generation 3 store at SM North Edsa featured last September 25 distinguished Filipino artist Ross Capili along with fellow artists Percinette Sauro, Rem San Pedro and Herald Guarin Corpuz. And on October 4 another art event was held at the Limketkai Mall featuring the creations of Joey and Archie Balcos.
Capili working with the theme “˜past to future’ designs the mounted mural on the Globe stores. The mural is set to surprise onlookers every two weeks as participating artists keep on adding and drawing on the canvass.
The Globe Generation 3 stores are designed by Tim Kobe, founder and CEO of Eight Incorporated whose brainchild is the iconic Apple store in New York.
“Globe is transforming the customer experience in the Philippines and it will send shock waves far beyond,” Kobe said on the upcoming Globe stores.
The new stores are planned to house interactive lifestyle vignettes that will feature a myriad of products within interesting displays that make it more relevant to customers. The installations are made flexible and reconfigurable allowing the store to transform.
