Not much on the website, but I visited earlier.
It was a tiangge in middle of Glorietta where the vendors were offering discounts via G-Cash. I’m guessing it’s an exercise for both seller and buyer in transacting via G-Cash. Why allow bank notes? Perhaps to lure in curious buyers who would then be enticed to purchase through cellphone.
G-Cash top-up was avaiable through credit card. The G-Cash Machine and a G-Cash ATM from their tie-up with Bancnet through Asia United Bank.
Today was their “G-Cash Kababayan Nations Day” where Globe Kababayan members could get a free 5-minute IDD call to destinations with high traffic: US (Mainland), Hong Kong, Singapore, London and Taiwan.
Yesterday, they had “G-Cash for Her Day,” a free make-over for Globe Girlfriends subscribers for a minimum purchase of Avon products. Tomorrow is Planet Gentxt day where a PhP 5 purchase through G-Cash will buy a 15-minute trial of Tekken 5 and Level Up Games’ Rose Online (addicts!)
Strangely enough, Oracle – the database and business software company – is listed as a participanting merchant. I did not see their booth. What could they possibly sell via G-Cash? T-Shirts?
