Aside from the CloudFone and Hyundai devices, Cellprime Distribution Corporation will also be carrying the Gionee smartphone brand in the Philippines. During its recent launch event, Cellprime introduced the latest Gionee smartphones including the Gionee Marathon M5.
Launched 3rd quarter of last year, the Gionee Marathon M5 has a snappy 1.3GHz Quad Core processor with 3GB of RAM and a vibrant 5.5-inch HD AMOLED display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection, a pretty decent but familiar specs nowadays. The Android 5.1 Dual SIM smartphone’s biggest selling point however is its massive 6020mAh battery which can provide users with 62 hours of talk time and 682 hours of standby time, as claimed by the Chinese smartphone company. Additionally, the Gionee Marathon M5 can charge other smartphones using an OTG cable.
The Gionee Marathon M5 has an SRP of Php 11,999. Other Gionee smartphones launched were the Gionee P5w, Gionee ELIFE E8 and Gionee S Plus.
