Another tablet player has arrived in town. Just last week, Galaxy Microsystems in partnership with NVIDIA Corporation and Banbros Commercial, Inc officially launched in the Philippines its debut tablet, the GALAPAD.
This new tablet has been developed for gaming enthusiasts, which according to studies on the current buyer behavior, drives the mobile marketplace forward.
The GALAPAD sports a 7″ IPS display at 1024×600 resolution so you still get a good visual experience even with heavy physical movement when playing. It is loaded with Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean and is powered by Nvidia Tegra 3 Quad-Core processor to allow users to enjoy smooth and responsive game play with longer battery life, which is usually one of the major setbacks of a lot of mobile devices.
Hi-res games render more pixels, which increases the load on the GPU. The GALAPAD offers longer battery life with the Tegra 3’s additional 5th core ““ the Battery Saver Core.
There’s not a lot of popular Tegra 3 tablets in the market today except for some ASUS tablets including the Nexus 7.
Galapad Specs:
- Tegra 3 Quad Core 1.3GHz, with 5th Companion Core
- 1GB RAM, 8 GB ROM (up tp 32 GB expandable)
- 10-point Multi-touch Screen
- 2 MP Front-facing Camera
- WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
- 3500mAh Li-Ion battery
The GALAPAD is already available in the market and with an SRP of Php9,995 For more information on the GGALAPAD, visit http://www.galapad.net.
