Cherry Mobile starts seeding a firmware update for both Flare S3 Octa and Flare S3 Power which upgrades its operating system to Android Lollipop.
The update will come via OTA (Over-The-Air) and users should get a notification about it. If you, however, were not automatically notified about the Android Lollipop update, you can manually check for update by going to Settings > About > System Updates.
Provided that any of these handsets have access to the internet, the software update should be automatically downloaded to the device and users will be asked if they want to proceed with the upgrade process which should take around 5-10 minutes. If you’re not comfortable performing the update yourself, you can visit a Cherry Mobile store and their staff can probably walk you through the process or even update it themselves.
Do note, however, that the update will not be available to handsets that were rooted or modded. If none of these terms ring a bell to you, then your smartphone should be upgraded to Android Lollipop without any fuss.
