Global wearables brand Fitbit, Inc. saw a strong performance from its smartwatch business as it successfully shipped over one million Fitbit Versa devices since its launch in April.
This figure only presented consumers’ demand for a well-designed, health and fitness-focused smartwatch with long battery life and broad compatibility, it said. Fitbit also reported that its female health tracking feature has already attracted more than 2.4 million users in just one month.
“With Fitbit Versa, we are delivering on our promise to offer a true mass appeal sartwatch with engaging new features. The positive responce to Versa shows that we are filling this void and well positions us to gain share of the fast-growing smartwatch market,” said James Park, co-founder and CEO of Fitbit.
“The engagement we’ve seen with our new female health tracking feature further demonstrates the value our users see in being able to get a more comprehensive look at their overall health and wellness, in a single pace, in a way that other available cycle tracking tools cannot,” he added.
The company said the female health tracking service helps Fitbit users to monitor and understand their overall health as it allows them to access their data in one platform. Fitbit said its technology also enables users to have knowledge on how their activities can affect their health and wellness.
It also noted over 18, 000 developers have already participated its own developer communiy and more than 900 apps and clock faces have buin built.
