Up-and-coming local mobile brand Firefly Mobile is on its way to compete with bang-for-the-buck, mid-range devices by introducing the Allure 64 LTE, a 5.5-inch smartphone packed with an octa-core processor, 3GB of RAM, and Android Lollipop out of the box. This new device has been spotted by a facebook user and has been posted on one of the device-oriented facebook groups we’ve joined in. Interestingly, the device also touts itself to have a metal frame like the affordable GT100 S, and a circular physical home button similar to that of the iPhone 6 series.

If you’re wondering if it might come in a bit pricey, think twice: The Firefly Mobile Allure 64 LTE sports a Php 7,999 price tag, which puts it against the likes of Meizu M1 Note, Lenovo A7000, or even the lowest Asus Zenfone 2 variant in the mid-range wars. Is Firefly Mobile on its way to become a game-changer in the local tech scene and an unprecedented threat to local and international brands alike?
