Most likely, you already know that your Facebook inbox has a “Message Requests” section, which shows messages from people who are not your Facebook friends. Pretty much works like a second inbox for people you don’t know.
However it seems that Facebook may be keeping more messages from you, as apparently there are also messages that are filtered even from getting to your “Message Requests” inbox! Here’s how you can get to them:
If you’re on Mobile:
- Go to “Settings”
- Tap on “People”
- Then go to “Message Requests”
- Scroll down to the end of the messages requests and tap on “See Filtered Requests”
If you’re on Desktop:
- Click on your inbox
- Go to “Message Requests”
- Scroll down to the end of the messages requests and click on “See Filtered Requests”
You should then be able to see the messages that Facebook decided on its own to be not relevant enough. This section somehow feels like a spam folder, but there may be some messages in there, which may actually be of use to you.
