Epson Philippines has launched its first-ever EcoVision Short Film Competition for college students. The film competition is created in partnership with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources-Environmental Management Bureau (DENR-EMB) and GREENducation Philippines, a youth-led group organized by DENR-EMB.
This inter-school video-making contest taps Filipino students in raising public understanding of the environment and its conservation. The film competition aims to utilize the power of Public Service Announcement (PSA) videos to fulfill such end.
EcoVision call for entries
For its first run, EcoVision will run with the theme “Green Solutions for Everyday Life at Home, School, or Office.” PSA video entries must showcase the importance of green solutions, which refer to the positive actions and solutions that individuals and organizations take to address ecological issues. The PSA video must have a running time of two (2) minutes minimum up to five (5) minutes maximum. Entrants may submit multiple entries for the three film categories–Home, School, and Office.
The short film contest is looking for the best PSA videos that GREENducation Philippines can use to disseminate information about various eco-friendly solutions that Filipinos can follow and apply in their daily lives. EcoVision will choose the winning films based on their adherence to the theme, overall excellence in story-telling, cinematic attributes, technical execution, and social media engagements.
