It’s no secret that a lot of Filipinos opt to have CISS or Continuous Ink Supply System installed on their inkjet printers. Why not? You don’t have to buy those expensive cartridges with bottled inks being more affordable.
Instead of letting third-party CISS vendors make a Frankenstein out of their printers, Epson released their own CISS printers or what they call ink tank printers. The Epson L-series printers address the problems encountered when having a third-party CISS installed on a printer: warranty voids, ink spillage when transporting, printer head clogging, and color accuracy problems.
The Epson L-series printers feature Epson’s FIT (Fast Ink Top-up) technology that is made up of three specially designed components: 1) the Epson Ink Tanks, 2) special ink tubes and 3) a choke valve, all of which allow for easy ink refilling as well as convenient transportation of the printers.
The Epson Micro Piezo print head found in the Epson L-series printers achieves a maximum print resolution of 5760 x 1440 dpi and its variable size droplet technology (VSDT) allows the print head to eject ink droplets in three sizes. These capabilities ensure the greatest detail and extremely smooth gradations in photographs.
If you’re wondering about the cost, it’s just slightly more expensive than a printer and a CISS installation setup. The most basic L-series printer, L100, is priced at Php7,800. However, ink bottles are priced at Php265 per piece, Php15 more than your ink refill plus you are sure to get quality ink for your printer.
The L100 and L200 printers come with a starting set of three black 70ml ink bottle that can print up to 12,000 black/white pages (4,000 page yield per bottle) and three 70ml color ink cartridges that can print 6500 color pages. With each set of one black and three color inks, the printers offer an extremely low cost per page of only PhP0.06 per black page and only PhP0.12 per color page. In addition, each new unit comes with two additional black ink bottles to provide customers even greater value.
The Epson L800 photo printer comes with an initial bundle of six ink bottles (70ml each) that can print up to 1,800 4R photos. With each full set of inks (Cyan, Light Cyan, Magenta, Light Magenta, Yellow, Black), the printer offers an extremely low running cost of only PhP1.67 per 4R-size photo print (media price not included).

good move for epson. i think these CISS printers will pay off in the long run especially for families who prints a lot. At least hindi ka na matatakot na masira printer head mo.
CISS printe is only good for normal anf regular use. However, if you use it excessively or you print it excessively parang ma out or short of ink. Pag hindi mo naman nagamit ang printer…mag malfunction din, parang ma clog-up.

True! I agree! Finally they listened to the clamor of the people. Enough with ridiculously overpriced ink. They have been milking the budget of peole for a long time now and slowly they realized that they are loosing revenue from those ciss installers. This move is going to put those individuals out of business. Im sure the other printer companies will follow suit.

epson really did a good job in making their printers with ciss bundle… but do they have enough technical crew to accommodate reapers??
I find the L800 not that much of a good choice though, bought 1 already, warranty is only 6 months or 3,000 prints, whichever comes first, while for L100/L200 it’s much longer. Ink for L100/L200 is only P265, while for L800 it’s P500… I don’t get it…

Apparently, stores that convert printers don’t sell these, perhaps they didn’t want they’re customers to know about it. I bought mine at a consumer electric store. It’s pretty slow, but worth the additional 9 months warranty.

as a business owner using HP and EPSON products, the prices offered by ink refill stations (whose quality is way below compared to original) is really bothering … consumers nowadays need not even mind the quality –> they are hypnotized by the price of ink refills … not minding what they actually get

What type of ink did Epson Inkjet Photo L800 Has? is it Dye or Pigment ink type?
Recently got one of these along with my dad. Only gripe with the printer so far is that it’s a tad slower than other inkjets, even when printing text.
I purchased L200 on 15.5.2012 but the printing quality is not good. All the printing like documents / photo all are the bluish.
I inform service centre in different area, location that please solve this problem till waiting.
If my problem will not solve then every where I send the masseg by mail that Epson Service & this L-200 Printer is not good.

Just Give that product sometime like 3months to 5months, and wait for the users review if this one is good or not. Dont waste money just to buy a printer, Just buy a cheap price printer with a brand and convert in a CISS system if you’re using it in industrial use. if only personal, Just buy the regular one. It is just my opinion.

this is great work from EPSON, we wasted money on buying ink catridges for getting just few copies, i bought L200 now i recovered my money only by pring the colour pring i earned nearly 15 thousand rupees from the original catridge comes with the printer

you have to turn the other side of the paper.. in other words.. do it maneually coz it doesnt have a feeder on top of the scanner
Go for Epson Workforce M200 for your purpose. 12 paisa printing cost per page. It’s a monochrome printer with ADF facility

I bought my epson L200 SN: NFZK083162 last March 19, 2012 from PC GADGET store in SM North, Q.C.
Pls. take note of the following based from my experience with this L200 epson printer:
1). ON/OFF SWITCH (POWER SUPPLY)already not working after only 3 or 4 months of normal printing. Since its under warranty, I brought it to COMPUSERVE, epson authorized repair shop and it was repaired within 3 weeks.
2). PRINTHEAD CLOGGED and cannot be removed even after several head cleaning. I brought it again to COMPUSERVE and they changed the printhead. All 4 ink tanks (CMYK)were almost empty when it was returned to me they said that it was used in ink charging process.
3). AT PRESENT, DISTORTED IMAGE CAME OUT WHEN SCANNED AND PHOTOCOPY, ALSO PAPER FEEDING NOT ALIGNED. I HAVE TO BRING IT IMMEDIATELY TO COMPUSERVE AGAIN FOR REPAIR, ONLY ONE AND A HALF MONTHS LEFT TO ITS WARRANTY.

tanong lang po mga sir…. meron po ako problem sa printing kc blue color lang ung lumalabas sa print out ko,… natry ko na po ung Nozzle check pati mga settings … nung unang print ko eh ok naman tpos after a days eh nung nag print ulet ako eh puro blue na ung napriprint nya,,.. Pre. unlock mo lang ung travel switch ung sa ink banda then Power cleaning. The best ang L800! ginagamit ko sa photobooth ko. Superb ang output! mura pa comsumables! 🙂

Ok b ang L series sa pag print ng pvc id? I am using original cartridge sa epson t13 ko kaso nahihirapan na ko makabili ng orig cartridge na mura wala na stock sa recto at sa mga site nabibili ko lang sya ng 300 1 set na cartridge na before ngayon napipilitan ako bumilli sa mall na sobrang mahal per cartridge 475 ang isa.
