If you’re a fan of Diablo but retired from PC gaming, why not try the game in the console? Blizzard just announced the availability of Diablo 3 for the PS3 and Xbox 360. Locally, it will be available in Datablitz starting tonight.
So what can you expect from the console version of the game?
For starters, the console has a separate world from the PC version. Meaning you can’t use your characters in the PC version to play in the console version. PC players will also not see games played on the console.
An obvious question here is, how will the game’s control translate from keyboard and mouse to the console’s controller? There’s definitely be an awkward learning curve when you have to move (left analog) and dodge (right analog) then target enemies before doing an attack which will be a challenge for ranged characters.
The console version will also do without the auction house but instead, Blizzard increased the drop rate of top-tier items for the console. It will also retain the paragon system once you reach level 60.
You can play solo offline, or with up to three friends on the same console offline. Or you can leave your game open and allow online players to see and join you on your quest. In the same regard, the game will also allow you to join open games currently being played.
Wanna try the game again but this time on your console? Datablitz announced on their FB page that they will start selling the game tonight so you might want to contact your nearest branch right away. It will be R3 region for the PS3 (Php2,295) and NTSC-J for the Xbox 360 (Php2,095).
