The Inspiron is Dell’s lineup of laptops for everyday computing. Yesterday, Dell unveiled the Inspiron 14z which is their first Ultrabook under the Inspiron name which mixes ultraportability and high performance along with a high response time.
Although not being highlighted much (no sight of the Skull logo either), this Ultrabook comes with built-in Skullcandy stereo speakers. It may not mean much to the audiophiles out there but for a lot of Filipinos who are impressed with Beats, having the Skullcandy brand on a laptop can also be a deciding factor.
The Dell Inspiron 14z sports a 14-inch screen with a 1366 x 768 resolution. The screen-size is pretty unusual for an Ultrabook and this one also has a built-in DVD drive. Still, Dell is insisting it’s an Ultrabook with its 0.8″ thin body with heavily rounded edges, and hybrid drive consisting of 32GB SSD and 500GB SATA Hard drive.
Powering the Inspiron 14z is Intel’s 3rd Generation Core i5-3317U processor along with 4GB RAM and an AMD Radeon HD 7570M video card manning the graphics front.
The Inspiron 14z and its sleek, brushed aluminum finish construction is now available with an SRP of Php44,990.
