D-Link International Pte Ltd recently released a smart home security solution, the D-Link DCS-960L HD Ultra-Wide View Wi-Fi Camera. This camera promises to give homeowners a sense of complete security.
The D-Link DCS-960L boasts an ultrawide lens to enable a 180-degree field of view, which guarantees full coverage of an entire room with just a single camera. In addition, IR LEDs provide night vision for up to 5m even in complete darkness. Furthermore, the DCS-960L’ s high-quality 720p HD CMOS sensor captures clear, detailed images and distortion-free videos. Homeowners can thank the camera’s dewarping technology, designed for video optimization.
Also, the DCS-960L has built-in Wireless AC and the latest Wi-Fi technology. Specifically, the Wi-Fi technology allows HD video streaming direct from the camera. Other features include 8x digital zoom, 1.72mm focal length, F2.0 aperture and 0 lux with IR LEDs on minimum illumination. If you’re worried about low-light conditions, light sensors can determine of the IR LEDs need to start up. Believe it or not, the DCS-960L also acts as a motion and sound detector. With this technology, users have extra detection tools should the camera not be enough.
But what if the camera indeed detects an intruder? In cases like this, the camera sends an email alert with images or video clips. These snapshots or video clips will then save on a microSD card. Local recording features also exist and function via an SDHC or SDXC card.
