Crumpler, one of the brands from Australia that has gained popularity in the country for their functional bags since it arrived here years ago, opened its new concept store designed by Russel & George, yesterday in their flagship branch located at the East Wing of Shangri-La Plaza Mall.
The official opening of the store also paved the way to launch the new Outpost Project bag series and two new bag models; the Ludicrous Debacle and Proud Stash.
The Outpost Project Series is a collection of bags characterized by a unique combination of outdoor street style and classic ruggedness. Each (camera) bag from this series is named after places that are the visited by resolute travelers including Cobram (Australia), Kashgar (China), Sebang (Malaysia), Aso (Japan), Karachi (Pakistan), and Tondo (Philippines).
The two new models are both made from double-layer, water-resistant Field Twill. The Ludicrous Debacle is a classic shoulder bag that has an internal iPad-sized pocket and fashionable strap. The Proud Stash is a backpack that features a wide and well-padded harness to evenly distribute the weight of the bag. Both bags are available in black, lime, tank green, sky blue, petrol blue, brick and coral.
Crumpler started in 1992, as a product of Stu Crumpler to make sturdy bags that can accommodate his beer bottles when he bikes. The bag did the job quite well and not too long enough, the durable bag caught the attention of Will Miller and Dave Roper, owners of a bike messenger company. They have commissioned him to recreate the beer bag into a backpack for their bike messengers. After proving to be a complete success, Miller, Roper and Crumpler started their bag business that has become the brand that we know it. Today, Crumpler offers a wider range of bags including: camera bags, laptop bags, luggages, casual bags, etc.
Crumpler stores are located at the Shangri-La Plaza Mall, Bonifacio High Street, Trinoma and Robinson’s Magnolia.
