A lot of things are being shown at CES today and while browsing for news, this is the first one that caught our attention. The ASUS Eee Slate EP121 is not your ordinary tablet PC, it’s a tablet that sports a Core i5-470UM processor to power Windows 7. Yep, it’s not an Android tablet but can it run Windows smoothly? Aside from the Core i5 2010 ULV processor, it also packs up to 4GB RAM and up to 64GB SSD for faster boot up and launching of applications. It also features a 12.1-inch IPS (for better viewing angles) capacitive display with a 1280 x 800 resolution and get this, a Wacom digitizer for scribbling notes and better Photoshopping with the included stylus. It comes with your typical connectivity needs, BT, WiFi, USB and HDMI ports, card readers, etc. No info on battery life yet so better hold off putting it into your things-to-buy-in-2011 list. But if you really want to, prepare to shell out at least $1,000 for it. It would make a really good DSLR companion on the field though which you can also use for some serious photo editing.
