At the annual International ICT Awards held last week, Cognizant, a leading provider of consulting, technology, and business process outsourcing services, has won the Best New BPO Locator of the Year in the Philippines for 2011.
Instituted in 2007 by the Business Processing Association of the Philippines (BPAP) and the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines (CanCham), the International ICT Awards honor individuals and organizations for outstanding performance in promoting the country as one of the top BPO destinations around the globe. The awards aim to encourage innovation and excellence among BPO service providers.
Cognizant was chosen for the top honor in the Best New BPO Locator of the Year category based on its size, growth and diversity of the business and its clients; quality; depth and breadth of competencies; management capability; and commitment to developing people, social responsibility, and industry support.
Cognizant’s global delivery center in Manila provides high-end operational business process services, IT Infrastructure Services, and other offerings to global clients, including one of the world’s largest communications companies and a leading global financial services institution.
