Word has it: After its surprising participation at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona that showcased two new Windows Phones before it hit local markets, local smartphone brand Cherry Mobile is set to make another appearance at an international tech expo, this time at Taiwan’s Computex starting tomorrow.
This announcement comes off from their Facebook page, the same way they announced their particpation at the MWC back in March. Among those that CM will be presenting are its low-cost Windows Phone and Intel-powered offerings. This is the first time we’ve seen Cherry Mobile banner its participation with Intel, a sign that new devices may be showcased using Intel’s new mobile processors.
Will Cherry Mobile create another country’s first this week as the first local smartphone brand to bring Intel-powered smartphones? Do tune in as we kick off our Computex coverage tomorrow.
