Here’s our review of one of the latest tablets from Cherry Mobile’s Superion series, the Cherry Mobile Superion Endeavor 7-inch DUAL SIM Phablet.
Design and Construction
The Cherry Mobile Superion Endeavor bears the same looks as its predecessors with its solid plastic body and round edges. Quite unique to the phablet is the placement of the microSD and SIM card slots on top of the device. Overall, the Cherry Mobile Superion Endeavor has a solid build and a pleasing design which allows me to hold the device securely.
Multimedia
The Cherry Mobile Superion Endeavor’s 7-inch display didn’t fail to impress me, thanks to its IPS display and HD 720 x 1280 resolution at 210ppi. I loaded some 720p videos and the displays were great, there were no lags and the sounds were very clear. The Cherry Mobile Superion Endeavor plays most video formats including the ones shared on social networking sites such as Facebook.
The two speakers located at bottom of the device provided neat and loud sounds. The speakers also provided an equal sound distribution.
Performance and Gaming
Powered by a 1.2 Ghz Quad-Core Processor with 1 GB of RAM, the tablet performed well with standard games such as Temple Run, Candy Crush, Manila Rush, etc and with the usual social media apps such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. The lags and delays were noticeable though when I installed graphic-heavy games like Dead Trgger 2.
As for the benchmarks, the device scored a fairly good 13428 points on AnTuTu, few level higher than Cosmos X.
The Cherry Mobile Superion Endeavor has an internal storage of 4 GB but the system files took most of the spaces and you’re only left with 1.68 GB for your apps. Good news is that you can expand the storage up to 64GB via microSD card.
Messaging
One of the few things I like about Cherry mobile devices is messaging because of the keyboard’s responsiveness and simplicity when I type in the texts. It also allows me to easily attach pictures, videos, recorded audio, Vcard and slideshow.
Camera and Video
The Cherry Mobile Superion Endeavor has an 8-megapixel rear camera w/ flash and a 2-megapixel front camera. The main camera has auto-focus and few camera modes but no panoramic shot. As for the image quality, some shots tend to get quite blurred when I’m taking them from a distance. However, I am able to easily get good ones when I’m near the subject. The camera also allows you to capture decent images in low light.
The gallery has some interesting features such as image enhancements similar to filters on Instagram and other photo-editing apps. You can also share them right away to your social media networks.

Battery Life
Equipped with 2800 mAh battery, the unit lasted for about 10 hours of standard use (Facebook, casual gaming, internet browsing, calls and texts) and 5-6 hours if I enable my mobile data so it is pretty impressive. When it comes to charging the phablet, it took only a mere an hour to fully charge this device.
Verdict
With an above average display for a tablet in its category, decent sound quality plus a good battery life, the Cherry Mobile Superion Endeavor makes a great tablet for viewing entertainment and if you’re looking for a budget level multimedia tablet then this device is a must have. Oh, it has OTG and 3G too! 😀
The Cherry Mobile Superion Endeavor phablet is now available at Cherry Mobile stores and kiosks for Php 5,499
